Microsoft 70-486 Developing ASP.NET MVC 4 Web Applications

This course is for Microsoft developers that are ready to start building enterprise web applications and would like to take the 70-486 certification exam. Taking this course will provide you with training in web development, C# (C Sharp), HTML and CSS, SQL Server, JavaScript, Object Based JavaScript, Model View and Controller, and jQuery.

What is involved?

Earning an MCSA: Web Applications certification qualifies you for a position as a web developer or web administrator.

STEP 1 – SKILLS

Possess foundational IT skills. If you feel that you do not possess these skills, consider pursuing one or more Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) certifications or do the trio CompTIA certifications of A+, Network+ and security+.

For prospective developers the following courses are a must have for fundamental programming knowledge:

STEP 2 – BASIC PROGRAMMING SKILLS

(MCSA can be attained by just taking course and exam 70-480 and 70-486, see above. If you already have MCSA as above, you do not need to retake these exams)

Microsoft 70-480: Programming in HTML5 With JavaScript And CSS3

Basics for beginners – our Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3 course provides developers with the knowledge and skills for utilizing HTML, JavaScript, and CSS3 to develop and style web applications and interfaces. This course provides credit towards the MCSD certification.

(OPTIONAL Skills recommended) C++ Certified Associate Programmer Certification (CPA)

STEP 2 DEVELOPMENT FUNDAMENTALS MICROSOFT

(MCSA can be attained by just taking course and exam 70-480 and 70-486, see above. If you already have MCSA as above, you do not need to retake these exams)

Microsoft 70-486 Developing ASP.NET MVC 4 Web Applications

This course is for Microsoft developers that are ready to start building enterprise web applications and would like to take the 70-486 certification exam. Taking this course will provide you with training in web development, C# (C Sharp), HTML and CSS, SQL Server, JavaScript, Object Based JavaScript, Model View and Controller, and jQuery.

(OPTIONAL Skills) Software Development Fundamentals = Exam 98-361

Candidates for this exam are seeking to prove core software development skills. It is recommended that candidates be familiar with the concepts of and have hands-on experience with the technologies described here either by taking relevant training courses or by working with tutorials and samples available on MSDN and in Microsoft Visual Studio. Candidates are expected to have some experience with C# or Microsoft Visual Basic .NET. (70-486 will have given you that experience)

STEP 3 – Microsoft 70-487 Developing Windows Azure and Web Services

This course will help students prepare for Developing Microsoft Azure and Web Services certification. The 70-487 Certification is intended for developers with 3 to 5 years’ experience in web services development and a minimum of one year in Web API and Azure Solutions experience.

MCSD: SharePoint Applications

While a small amount of familiarity with SharePoint development is required, candidates are not expected to have prior experience with the new features in SharePoint Server 2013.

Microsoft 70-489: Developing Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 Advanced Solutions

This course on Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 Advanced Solutions will prepare you for Exam 70-489 and enhance your skills in SharePoint environments. Candidates for this exam are typically technical leads with a minimum of four years’ experience in SharePoint and web development. The candidates are responsible for designing custom code for projects that are deployed to or interact with SharePoint.
