Where can I get personal help in making my online purchase of Creative MindsŪ E-Learning courses?
Please read through these FAQs to answer questions you may have about purchasing. If you still need help after reading these, you may speak to your advisor, who if unable to answer you, will further contact Creative MindsŪ Support at Head Office Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
 
How soon after subscribing to a course series will I be able to use the courses?
Within 24 to 48 hours, depending on weekends, public holidays etc. After paying your advisor, your information will be registered in your presence and the registration form together with the relevant payment transfers will be sent to us at Creative MindsŪ Enrollment at Head Office. Your training centre will receive a confirmation receipt e-mail and then an ID and password, along with instructions for signing on to take a course within the above-mentioned timeframe.

How do I take a course?
It is very easy. There is nothing to install or download. You simply ask your advisor to go to the Student Login page and enter your ID and password.

How do I know if these courses are the kind of instruction I'm looking for?
You can try one or more of our demo courses before you buy. Just ask your advisor to log into the Demo Course for you. All Creative MindsŪ E-Learning courses have the same level of interactivity, depth of content, and navigation, so you'll be able to ensure that this is the kind of online instruction you need.

Can I sign on to the courses from another computer in the centre?
Yes, as long as it has Internet access and a Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher browser. You can be signed on to the courses from only one computer at a time.

What modem speed is recommended for these courses?
The courses play well through 56 KB modems. Of course, play is faster as connection speeds increase. In most centres however we have fast network access, and we also have additional cache servers in South Africa to make the connections to Africa as fast as possible.  All the courses have been developed in HTML format for fast, easy Web delivery. Our courses are designed for highly efficient, real-time presentation with an average page size under 20 K.

Do your courses offer any testing?
Yes. Our courses offer testing in two ways. Students encounter and answer questions throughout each course. These questions engage students and facilitate subject mastery. All our courses also have Skill Assessment modules that help determine the skill level, within each course unit, of the student. The Skill Assessment modules can be used for pre or post testing.

What exactly is a Skill Assessment module?
Each course includes a 30-question Skill Assessment that evaluates your knowledge of the course material. The Skill Assessment, accessed through the Navigate button in the course, may be taken prior to, during, or after taking the course. Scores are tracked by unit, and include initial, current, and best scores. Scores are to the student immediately. Based on the scores received, students can skip topics in which they demonstrate proficiency, thus reducing training time.

How do I know which courses are in each series?
A list of courses in that series is displayed on the website, or your advisor can provide you with a printed list of the latest courses at that time.

How do I know what content is covered within each course?
Click the course title displayed in the series course list and a Course Summary Description sheet displays with all the details for that course. If you need even further information, your tutor can contact Head Office who will e-mail a complete breakdown immediately to the centre.

Are the courses updated periodically?
Yes, new and updated Creative MindsŪ E-Learning courses are released quarterly.

Which courses will help me prepare for Microsoft certification exams?
We do not offer Microsoft courses on the list, but they are from us. Ask your advisor to contact Head Office for courses specifically designed to help you study for the MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) and other certified exams. Once your studies have been completed, the exams can be written at a Microsoft exam centre.

How long may I use the course series after I purchase them?
All series must be completed in one year, as the purchase price only allows a maximum study time of one year from the date of purchase. All courses are given an estimated completion time. If you go beyond an additional 20% of that time, your local centre may charge you additional computer usage time at their going rate.

What if I am not finished taking the courses after one year?
You may renew your series purchase at that time. You will be given a renewal reminder with renewal instructions one month before your series expire.

Will the price be the same when I renew?
Possibly, but if there should be a price increase before then, renewals will be given at the new prices.

May I pay by credit card?
For security reasons we currently do not accept credit card payment over the network, except if your local centre can offer direct credit card payment locally.
 
What if I bought the wrong series?
You have seven (7) days to exchange your subscription. Please ask your advisor to e-mail us immediately and well in time.

What is the refund policy?
Refunds will be issued within seven (7) days of your purchase. Please ask your advisor to e-mail us immediately and well in time.

What if I want to cancel my series early?
You have paid for the full year. Refunds cannot be given more than seven (7) days after purchase.
 
What precisely do you mean by seven (7) days after purchase?
That will be exactly seven days after registering and sending the registration form and payment to Creative MindsŪ E-Learning Enrollment at Head Office.
